*sigh* our royal Duchess of Cambridge and favorite Brit beauty Kate Middleton has fallen victim to a what’s being deemed a “ghastly photoshop botch” by a magazine across the pond.
While we are believers in the power of retouching, we believe it should be done in such a way that enhances the natural beauty of a product or person, rather than completely change it. We are very grateful to work with amazing photographers and stylists to help produce top-notch pictures to being with, but sometimes there are small edits that still make or break the image. Sometimes you only have previously existing images to work with, or it just isn’t in the budget to do full photography.
Whatever the case may be, Tribal Studio has you covered when it comes to creatively enhancing or fixing images.
Natural browning happens anytime you cut most fruits or vegetables, especially apples. One of our clients, Mrs. Prindable Gourmet Apples, relies on our retouching expertise to do things like remove browning, clean up any chocolate bubbles that may appear, or small smudges while cutting the apple. It help represent the true beauty of these apples without looking overdone or fake.
During our apparel shoot for S&S, the client ended up loving this particular model shot, but unfortunately she was mid-blink. Our digital imaging specialists actually took the eyes from the model in a different shot and imaged them into this one, preserving the shot and allowing the client to select the image they really liked for their catalog.
We took this action shot for our client, Midtown Athletic Club. They ended up using this image for a variety of reasons, including a billboard where we digitally dropped the athlete against a sky background. It encouraged the theme of the campaign without looking fake or cheesy.
